The Islamic Education course is a foundational component of the curriculum that aims to nurture students' understanding of Islamic principles, values, and teachings. The course fosters the development of strong moral and ethical standards based on the Quran, the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the rich Islamic tradition. Through interactive lessons, discussions, and practical applications, students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also guidance on how to apply Islamic teachings in daily life. The curriculum covers various key topics such as Islamic history, theology, jurisprudence, ethics, and the Quran.

The course is designed for all students from Grade 1 to Grade 12, particularly for Muslim students who are required to take Islamic Education as part of their compulsory subjects. The curriculum caters to different age groups with content appropriate for their developmental stages, starting from basic principles and progressing to advanced studies.

Quranic Reading and Recitation:
Students will be taught to read the Quran with proper pronunciation (Tajweed) and understanding. Emphasis will be placed on memorizing key surahs and understanding their meanings.

Quranic Interpretation (Tafsir):

Prophet’s Life (Seerah):
An important part of Islamic Education is studying the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the lessons derived from his actions and character. Students will explore his qualities, leadership, and guidance in various aspects of life.

Moral Lessons from Hadith:
Students will analyze Hadiths that teach essential moral values such as honesty, kindness, humility, patience, and justice.

Basic Fiqh:
An introduction to Islamic jurisprudence, focusing on the fundamental aspects of Islamic law such as worship (Salah, Zakat, fasting, and Hajj), cleanliness, prayer, and fasting.

Ethical Practices in Islam:
Students will learn the importance of personal hygiene, manners, respect for others, and responsibility within society according to Islamic teachings.

Rights and Duties:
An overview of the rights of individuals, including family rights (parental rights, marriage, and inheritance), societal responsibilities, and the Islamic perspective on justice and equality.
